Riding like a Pro

This was a challenging stage. At the beginning of the stage we tried a breakaway with Marco. After that, Marco has done a great and important job in supporting our sprinter Manuel Belletti. Notes: It is important to notice that the athletes during a stage follow the team strategy.

This was stage 11 of Giro d’Italia, from Collecchio to Savona, a 249 km ride (154.7 miles) of medium mountain. The first part of the stage had an important climb, the Cento Croci pass (first KOM), a challenging segment especially towards its peak; 14 athletes took this as an opportunity for a breakaway.
